Assam’s capital, Guwahati, witnessed its highest April rainfall in 75 years, triggering widespread flooding, severe waterlogging, and major disruptions to daily life, officials said, according to TOI

According to reports, torrential overnight rain lasting several hours left large parts of the city submerged, with roads turning into streams and several residential areas inundated.
